Safeguarding at FAB Learning Interventions
At FAB Learning, we know that children and young people must be safe to learn and thrive. We prioritise working alongside parents, carers, and various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for those we work with.
Safeguarding and promoting children and young people’s welfare means:
- Protecting them from maltreatment
- Ensuring safe and effective care
- Enabling them to achieve their best outcomes
- Preventing impairment of mental and physical health or development
All members of our team receive regular safeguarding training and updates that coincide with the key elements and issues outlined in government legislation. It is the priority and responsibility of everyone at FAB Learning to safeguard all learners accessing our provision. All Learning Managers assigned to learners comprise the DSL team, and concerns related to welfare learner can be passed on to them by learners, families, and commissioners or anyone who would like to raise a concern.

FAB Learning Interventions operates between 8:30am - 4:30pm and all queries can be passed on to the DSL’s named above by phone or email or by contacting chloeargent-duncan@fablearning.uk

Raising a Concern Anonymously
If you have a safeguarding concern related to any learner accessing FAB Learning that you would like to raise anonymously, please scan the QR code below. A member of the FAB Learning DSL Team will handle all concerns raised.
FAB Learning works alongside the local police force to support the Operation Encompass initiative. In working together, FAB Learning is provided with a direct link to the local police force who inform our DSL team of any incidents of domestic violence in homes which affect our learners. This link allows us to offer targeted support for our learners and informs our approach when taking measures to ensure their overall safety and health.
All tutors working with young people accessing our provision have received training on The Brook Traffic Light System. This tool helps them to identify, understand and respond to sexual behaviours in children and young people up to 18 years old. It also helps them distinguish these behaviours from normal curiosity about bodies and sex as part of development, and assists in identifying indicators of abuse and CSE.
