Director
I have a passion for working with all students; I enjoy the challenge, and the benefits, of working with students, and their families, in order to support their education and provide them with the necessary skills to grow successfully, so that they have a solid platform on which to build in the future.
I also have a passion for the Dobermann. It’s a privilege to share my home with such beautiful souls and you won’t find me leaving the house without one, more often than not I am accompanied by Bear.

I moved to the UK from Canada in 2016, and since then it has been wonderful to be involved with so many learners and families as a special needs teacher, and then in alternative provision settings. Throughout my career, my proudest moments have always been seeing both their personal and academic achievements and growth, no matter how big or small. My favourite things are sharing laughter and jokes with learners (even at my expense!) and learning something new from them about the things they are passionate about.
When not at FAB Learning, I can be found running long distances in the Peak District, or at home with my two rescue cats, who love to follow me everywhere asking for their next mealtime and demanding cuddles!
Michele Fowler
Director
I have dedicated 30-years of my career supporting vulnerable children and adults in various educational environments, including colleges, schools, and learning centres
I have extensive experience as a college lecturer, teaching within diverse settings such as homeless hostels, women’s refuges, probation hostels, and Pre-16 provision. I have also managed Learning Centres focusing on helping unemployed individuals secure employment, and spent 12 years as a Learning Manager in an Alternative Provision.
I am now thoroughly enjoying and proud of what we are achieving with FAB Learning as this allows me to continue bringing education to learners who have previously been lost to learning, encouraging their success and growth both educationally and personally.
In my personal time along with dog walking, swimming and practicing Tai Chi, you will usually find me riding motorbikes around the countryside and attending live music events (sometimes up to my knees in a muddy field)!
Alex McClory
Learning Manager
I have spent 20 years teaching in Nottingham city centre schools and have loved working as an English lead inspiring reading across my school. I believe if you don’t love reading you just haven’t read the right book yet!
I’m passionate about creating the right learning environment for all children regardless of their ability and needs.
Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and have competed in my first 2 triathlons.
Lisa Cartwright
Learning Manager
I joined FAB Learning Interventions in February 2025 having previously worked at another Alternative Provision. My career in education began at 17 as an apprentice in a private day nursery, where I advanced to become a Senior Pre-School Room Manager. My passion lies in supporting children and young people to reach their full potential and making a positive impact on their lives.
Outside of work, I love holidays, both within the UK and abroad.
Chloe Jankiewicz
Learning Manager
I love helping young people thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment. With a degree in Dance, I bring creativity, energy, and a positive vibe to everything I put my mind to. I have experience as a Head of Year and in managing inclusion and behaviour, and understands all about making a real difference for the students I work with.
When I’m not at work, you’ll probably find me playing netball with the Cherry Bombs, bringing energy, cheers, and the occasional dramatic dive for the ball.
Nicky Ball
Learning Manager
I have worked for Alternative Provisions for many years gaining so many valuable skills. I thoroughly enjoy working with all students and strive to support them with accessing learning through creative means.
You will usually find me with four legged furry animals or cooking some wonderful or weird creation (which is usually inedible).
Suzanne
Learning Manager
Lisa
Office Administrator
I bring over 15 years’ experience as a School Business Manager, along with a background in Learning and Development in the private sector.
I really enjoy supporting schools and education teams behind the scenes, helping everything run smoothly so staff can focus on teaching and supporting children.
I like working alongside others to put strong, practical systems in place, support people in their roles and help organisations grow in ways that make a real difference.
Outside of work, I love reading, walking my crazy boxer dog and travelling, especially discovering new cultures and new places. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family – I’m a very proud nanny.
